ACE Programming Impact – Fee Increase

As with most businesses, Rogers & Brown periodically must review our service fees and make necessary adjustments in order to meet compliance regulations and keep service standards at the levels required by our customer base.
As the trade community should be well aware, the need for ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) programming has increased steadily with the new deadline being March 31, 2016 for all electronic Cargo Release/Entries & associated Entry Summaries as well as 2 PGAs (Participating Government Agencies); NHTSA – (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), APHIS – Lacey (Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service).  In addition, all other PGAs, including The US Census Bureau (export controls), will eventually be brought into ACE production by CBP (US Customs and Border Protection) as time and resources dictate. Rogers & Brown has continually made the necessary staffing and system adjustments to complete the steps required; however, our service fees have remained unchanged. Effective March 15, 2016, we must advise that our Security/Compliance Fee will increase by $10 per transaction.
